数据存储的未来?敬请关注

With global demand for data center capacity nearly tripling by 2030, enterprises and governments are increasingly looking beyond Earth for a solution. The idea of data centers in space is no longer an interesting sci-fi thought experiment—it’s becoming a reality.

In a recent article in The Space Review, Phison CTO Sebastien Jean discusses the viability of the moon and near-Earth orbit as potential locations for future data centers. Experts have identified some definite benefits and acknowledge that space could help solve some of our terrestrial challenges, including limited real estate, energy consumption, data security, and physical disasters. Jean also outlines some of the obstacles we’ll need to overcome to realize the full potential of data centers in space.
