Einsatzgebiet des Pascari X201E: Hochleistungsfähiger Gen5-Speicher für schreibintensive Speicherebenen

Not every storage tier needs maximum endurance. Architects need it wherever writes land, without sacrificing the Gen5 speed and capacity that made the flash investment worthwhile to begin with. That’s the case for HPC checkpoint targets and burst buffers, database log devices, streaming ingest buffers, and moderate write-back caching tiers. The Pascari X201E is built for that range, at 3 DWPD: enough to outlast 1 DWPD media, without paying for endurance the workload will never use.

Sizing a tier by capacity alone can miss the real cost driver: cost per terabyte written over the service life, not cost per terabyte of capacity. The X201E’s reserve capacity is built to cover that write budget without forcing a mid-life replacement cycle that drags procurement, data migration, rebuild traffic, and production risk along with it. For tiers built to take on every write, the X201E removes endurance as a limiting factor in the design.

Endurance defines the drive. A 25.6 TB Pascari X201E SSD carries a 140,160 TBW rating, 2.5 times the lifetime write budget of a 30.72 TB 1 DWPD drive. That means it can absorb 76.8 TB per day of writes for five years without leaving warranty coverage.

The Pascari X201E Solutions Brief takes a closer look at how the drive performs in sustained mixed workloads, where it fits across enterprise and HPC storage environments, and how its endurance, performance, form factors, and specifications support these use cases.
