Computex, one of the most anticipated events in the worldwide IT industry, returned this year to the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, Taiwan, with a full-throttle physical event after a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic. The show hosted over one thousand participating IT vendors eager to showcase their latest innovations and developments. Phison, as a leading provider of NAND flash memory controller and signal conditioning ICs that power a wide range of storage products, took part in the event with new solution launches and live demonstrations to provide a full experience of next-generation storage technology.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Private showroom presents what\u2019s new at Phison<\/h3>\n

Instead of a booth at the main event, which many other vendors use to engage mass market consumers, Phison has always organized private showrooms at nearby venues during the show. This year was no different as company leaders invited partners back to the showroom to connect and imagine possibilities beyond the world of today\u2019s storage and computing.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The showroom featured client solutions that used Phison\u2019s state-of-the-art E31T and E26<\/a>, which are PCIe Gen5<\/a> NAND flash controller ICs, and the E27T, the company\u2019s Gen4 solution. While both the E26 and E27T had already been announced at Computex 2022 as well as CES 2023, this demonstration allowed Phison to showcase the fully unleashed, bandwidth-saturating performances of 14 GB\/s (E26) and 7 GB\/s (E27T) in front of guests.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, the E31T is Phison\u2019s newly announced DRAM-less PCIe Gen5 NAND flash controller IC solution that is heading into the dawn of the PCIe Gen5 era. It offers a cost-efficient alternative for those who want a fresh taste of the 10 GB\/s Gen5 throughput without the burden of stacked DRAM caches.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also available in the showroom was a video about <\/span>Phison\u2019s premium testing facilities<\/span><\/a>.<\/span> Phison\u2019s persistent investment in R&D resources has been a major steppingstone to the company\u2019s <\/span>IMAGIN+ platform<\/span><\/a> that launched in 2023 with a mission to provide partners with the ultimate customization experience for their storage solutions. The platform is bound to meet evolving data storage needs as customers explore new boundaries in high-end server computing, diverse industrial applications and embedded subsystem breakthroughs.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to showing its products and services in a private showroom, Phison solutions were also highlighted across the show in numerous retail SSD products at various partner exhibitions. For instance, <\/span>PNY<\/span><\/a>, Teamgroup,and Zadak showed Gen4 solutions powered by Phison E18 and E21T\u2014and SSD solutions featuring Phison\u2019s PS5026-E26, the world\u2019s first PCIe Gen5 NAND flash controller IC, could be found at the center of the show mounted on cutting-edge PC motherboards with diverse heatsink technology.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With AI trending as the hottest topic in the IT industry (as well as AI being one of the six themes of this year\u2019s event), AI server vendors took center stage with fascinating d\u00e9cor and product exhibitions. Phison was pleased to see its PCIe Gen5 ecosystem partners Gigabyte and ASRock take the lead in showcasing cutting-edge server solutions mounted with large volumes of Phison redriver ICs on multiple server models.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
