It does this by offloading expensive high bandwidth memory (HBM) and GDDR memory to flash memory on the system’s specialized aiDAPTIVCache family of extreme-endurance SSDs, which is plentiful and cost-effective. The system also includes aiDAPTIV management middleware that works to optimize the flow of data between compute and storage resources—which enables large-scale model training with enhanced performance and reduced training times.
