While it was Phison\u2019s first IT Press Tour, the well-regarded media event was launched in 2010, and the visit to Phison\u2019s San Jose offices is the 50th tour.<\/p>\n<p>The Phison team highlighted its 20+ years innovating in the flash memory storage space, as well as its work with top technology industry innovators to provide its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phison.com\/imagin-plus-platform-customized-nand-flash-storage-solutions-and-asic-design-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IMAGIN+<\/a> enterprise flash memory customization platform for use cases in AI and edge deployments, high-performance computing, and other data-intensive workloads. Leading OEM, ODM, and high-tech manufacturers rely on Phison\u2019s IMAGIN+ to deliver design-in, high-density, high-bandwidth, and low-power flash solutions at accelerated, R&amp;D-driven time-to-market limits.<\/p>\n<p>Phison also discussed its collaboration with global storage solution provider <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/UDw-eRjVEA4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seagate<\/a> to expand their offerings of high-performance enterprise flash. The new SSDs will help enterprises lower total cost ownership (TCO) through increased storage density, lower power consumption, and higher performance.<\/p>\n<p>Phison and Seagate have also entered a long-term collaboration that will strengthen the development cycle and distribution of enterprise-class flash memory, focusing heavily on R&amp;D for solutions that support AI, edge computing, high-performance computing, and other next-gen applications that require maximum data performance and endurance with the lowest power footprint.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeagate\u2019s decades of expertise in enterprise storage combined with Phison\u2019s ability to create highly customized flash memory solutions with industry leading time-to-market enables us to deliver flash memory solutions that are more than just the sum of their parts,\u201d said Brian Stark, Principal Engineer, Seagate. \u201cWe look forward to continuing the collaboration between Seagate and Phison to advance innovation in the high-performance, low-power flash necessary for enterprise organizations driving advancements in everything from autonomous driving to industrial farming to space exploration and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Phison works with Skycorp to deliver flash memory solutions for space exploration<\/h3>\n<p>The Phison team also discussed its exciting work with Skycorp and other leading innovators in space logistics and exploration to provide flash memory solutions that can endure the harsh conditions of outer space.<\/p>\n<p>Phison already has flash memory solutions deployed in the International Space Station as part of an Intelligent Space System Interface experiment, as well as on the Mars Perseverance Rover. The work with Skycorp will continue the company\u2019s out-of-this-world expansion into the final frontier, utilizing high-endurance IMAGIN+ flash solutions for missions that include the eventual construction of a data center on the moon.<\/p>\n<p>To secure those and future opportunities, Phison had to gain NASA Technology Readiness Level 6 (TRL-6) certification. Tests include simulating deep cryogenic temperatures and vacuum conditions found on the moon. An electromagnetic environment qualification was also completed. In addition, Phison&#8217;s flash technology passed stress and environmental tests that simulated the launch on the SpaceX Falcon 9.
