Samsung, for example, initially opted for 2-lane drives, the 990 EVO and 990 EVO Plus, until its recent 4-lane\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dongknows.com\/samsung-ssd-9100-pro-review\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"128461\">9100 PRO<\/a>\u00a0drive, where the heat issue was sorted out.<\/p><p data-slot-rendered-content=\"true\">From the thermal perspective, Micron\u2019s Crucial P510 is the answer to Samsung\u2019s 9100 PRO. The new SSD is said to use some 25% less power, and in my testing, it produced significantly less heat, enough to remain relatively cool to the touch during heavy operation. And I tested the \u201cnaked\u201d version.
