AI has the power to transform the way we work—and many organizations are integrating AI PCs into their workflows to reap the benefits. But some experts say that AI PC adoption isn’t occurring as quickly among enterprises as anticipated. According to Michael Wu, Phison USA CEO and General Manager, there are a couple challenges that need to be addressed for risk-averse organizations to go all in on AI PCs.
Wu outlines the challenges in a recent article in The New Stack. First is the lack of sufficient domain-specific data in public AI models, and second is maintaining security of proprietary data, which is typically processed on third-party cloud platforms. The solution is simpler than many might think—it’s called a closed-loop AI ecosystem and, combined with AI PCs, has the potential to revolutionize AI for businesses that can’t afford traditional, on-site AI training infrastructure that can cost between $500K and $1 million.
