Among those receiving kudos for their superior engineering and performance was the Crucial T700 SSD, which includes a top-of-the-line Phison E26 controller. Here’s what some of the experts had to say:
-
-
- Tom’s Hardware reported that the ultra-fast SSD is
“ushering in the PCIe 5.0 era,” thanks to 2000 MT/s NAND and 12 GB/s peak transfer rate.”
- XDA Developers said,
“If you’re looking for a new SSD, then the Crucial T700 is the king of PCIe [Gen5] SSDs. It’s the fastest you can buy with multiple sizes available …”
- PCWorld said,
“In our testing, the Crucial T700 absolutely obliterated the competition in both synthetic and real-world benchmarks.”
- Tom’s Hardware reported that the ultra-fast SSD is

The Phison E26 controller was also a critical component in the MSI Spatium PCIe Gen5 SSD, which was the top pick for SSD of the year over at industry publication eTeknix. Reviewers said that “this is easily one of the fastest drives on the market, pushed even further by the extremely powerful cooling solution that ensures it can run hard and fast without compromise or throttling issues; loading screens flicker past like subliminal messages.”
And finally, Micron’s 3500 1TB four-channel SSD was touted as “simply the best OEM SSD ever made” by TechRadar. The review goes on to attribute the drive’s stellar performance to “new NAND” and the “superb Phison E25 controller that can also be found in the Crucial T500 SSD.”
It was a great year for Phison and its partners—and here’s to even more success in the coming year!
We loved this SSD in our review, and it’s one of the fastest consumer-grade SSDs available, so its inclusion on our list was an easy one.
